The Conscious Citizen Journalism – A Community Centered Social Initiative for Inspiring, Innovative Investigative India | The Emerging World Leader “THE BHARAT”

A new and trending possibility is taking shape with advancement of emerging technologies supported apps and popularization of social networking platforms for sharing useful [sometimes not so useful ЁЯЩВ ] information. The proactive approach by conscious citizens to connect, reflect and spread community-centered news, views, reviews for benefit of all concerned, openly and freely gave the ways to evolution of Citizen Journalism.

The Citizen News Reporting is the collection and reporting of news by members of the public who are not professional journalists. It is usually done digitally by publishing it on online platforms using mobiles, laptops/ PCS. It’s an important form of influencing medium because it can provide evidence of an social event and give a community another side of a story that might be ignored by major (biased) commercial news media outlets or channels.

What is Citizen Journalism?

Citizen Journalism, journalism that is conducted by people who are not professional journalists, with no professional qualifications in journalism or related domains, but who disseminate information passionately and with purity using online digital platforms i.e. web sites, blogs, and social media networking platforms.

The advantages of Citizen-Journalism

Citizen journalism is news reporting that is done by the people instead of professional journalists. This type of journalism can uncover facts not typically revealed by professional journalists because the public uses alternative sources to find information.

The Different Types of Citizen-Journalism

The mapping of the citizen-journalism related content revealed the following types of citizen journalists based on their levels of editorial control and contribution type: 
(1) Participatory,
(2) Para,
(3) News-Media Watchdog, and
(4) Community.
Taken together, these core concepts describe the depth and breadth of citizen-journalist domain.
